Beginner Basics Classes

Something NEW this year!

We are very excited to announce a Beginner Basics Series of classes for this year's retreat! Pat Carothers has graciously offered to teach this series of 4 baskets to anyone who would like to learn the art of basketry, or to those of you who haven't woven in while, but would like to start again. We are especially excited about this series because one of our main missions as a guild is to promote the art of basketry - what better way than to get new weavers to join us for this 3-day weaving extravaganza? Please check out the Beginner Basics Series class offerings shown below.

As a special welcome to weaving, Northwest Hoosier Basket Guild will provide a special "tool bag" to all first-time attendees who sign up for at least 3 of Pat's classes. This bag will include basic tools you will need to become an official basketmaker, such as shears, spoke weight, clips, and other goodies. This tool bag is available for the first 12 who sign up for this exciting new series of baskets.

Of course, anyone is welcome to sign up for Pat's classes, even if you are an experienced weaver!
